Free Valentine's Day Colouring Activity Pack and Painting Idea

Valentine's Day Free Colouring Page Printable Worksheets. Includes Letter Tracing, Counting, Colouring,, Cutting and Paste activities. Plus a Heartman watercolour Painting Idea. From Munchkin Place Home Daycare and Shop.

Fun fact: The owner of Munchkin Place first drew The Heartman in 1990.  He has made an appearance every Valentine's Day ever since.  This year is his 35th birthday!  To create a Heartman watercolour painting at home or with your students follow these simple steps.

1)Draw an outline of the Heartman using Washable Markers for his body.  Use a permanent Black marker to draw his smile, eyes, arms, hands, legs, feet and hat.

2) With Washable Markers draw squiggles of which colours should be painted in certain areas on your Munchkin Masterpiece.

3) Use watercolour paints to paint only the coloured areas.  Do not paint the white of his smile, eyes or shoes.  To create this painting at Munchkin Place, we used watercolour paper but white cardstock would be a great base as well.  Warm water can help watercolour paints work easier for Munchkins.  A paper towel can be used as an Eraser if needed.
